The coastline that stretches from Blanes, Lloret and Tossa de Mar to the border of France is an area of great beauty, combining rugged cliffs covered with typical mediterranean pine, tiny coves with transparent waters, beautiful interior landscapes, lovely beaches, fishing villages that have not lost its charm with time and tourist destinations worldwide known.

Tossa de Mar AbaIncomingWe must highlight the town of Tossa de Mar, that combines maritime tradition with history, cristal water coves with dolmens, restaurants by the sea with the roman remains, and to mention the medieval wall that surrounds the Old Villa, dating from the thirteenth century.
If you are a sea lover you must visit Tossaīs Lighthouse that has been active since 1917 and has many stories to tell.

Lloret de Mar is located in the southernmost part of the Costa Brava and this population has been able to perfectly combine its ancient seafaring flavor with the most demanding entertainment, from golf courses to terraces overlooking the sea to enjoy mediterranean nights, water parks and diving centers, as well as restaurants, bars and cafes to suit all customers and requirements.
In fact Lloret is one of the towns with more tourist activity in the area.

Dali · figueres

Dali Museum AbaIncomingFigueres and especially the Dali Museum is a must due to the incalculable artistic value of the works in the exhibit.

The town is worth a visit as you will be surprised with nice walks, cafes and shops. It also holds de Toy Museum full of curiosities.
In Figueras you can taste the typical of the local cuisine like Bunyols de l'Empordā (lent fritters) or a dish that surprises all those who try “Mar i Muntanya”, and of course the wines of DO Empordā.

GIRONAGirona AbaIncoming

Located 30 km inland. It is a city with great charm for its architectural heritage and its rich cultural offer.

We propose a walk through the historic center following the narrow streets of the Call and then cross any of the bridges over the Onyar River, where we can enjoy the view of the houses built in the late Middle Ages hanging over the river, each with a different colour, that make this beautiful and photogenic city a place to get lost.

Its old town or Barri Vell, full of attractive restaurants to stop for lunch or have a coffee and regain strength, invites us to get lost in reveries of the past: its Cathedral located on the highest point of the city has the widest Gothic Nave in the world, although its construction began in the eleventh century in Romanesque city. Not far we find the Bishop's Palace and the Art Museum of Girona.

But certainly our favorite place to walk around is the Jewish Quarter or as they say there, the Call Jueu (Jewish Call).
It is the best preserved Jewish Quarter of the Iberian Peninsula and one of the best in Europe, were we get transported to a world and another time.

We can not leave this city without a close look to the Arab Baths, curiously and despite their name, are Romanesque style with arabic influences and built in 1194.

By the way ... Is there anyone who does not know that part of the 5th season of Game of Thrones is shot in this wonderful city?

Besalu AbaIncomingBesalú is considered Nacional Historic-Artistic Heritage and is listed as one of the nicest villages in Spain.

The villa is walled and bordered by the Fluviā River and surrounded by forests. This medieval town automatically transports you back in time.

We recommend a walk along its charming streets towars the Main Square and visit the Romanesque Church of Sant Vicens, enjoy a coffee and continue towards the Jewish Quarter, that was very relevant in this town, to admire the Mikveh, bathing pool where Jews made their ablutions and in very good conservation.

Also we highlight the Monastery of San Pere, a Benedictine Temple of X century, and the Cornella House, which is one of the best preserved romanesque buildings in Catalonia.

Finally, in weekends itīs easy to encounter medieval craft fairs.
During the last week of August there is the famous Medieval Festival where the whole town participates, with knight contests, craft workshops, spectacles and entertainment.
It is our duty to warn you that during those days, walking down Carrer dels Atrapats Street, you may be surprised by strange characters like witches, executioners and convicted prisoners who will try to chase you...

ANDORRA The country of the PyreneesSki in Catalonia

Andorra is a small country in the Pyrenees, between France and Spain, only 200km from Barcelona that offers a magnificent combination of landscapes, sport and shopping.

Wedged between mountains consists of seven parishes and is basically dedicated to tourism, winter sports and mountain sports.

Shopping has great relevance as prices are very competitive. We find excellent local products to taste and a cuisine influenced by its proximity to France and Catalunya.

Tarragona AbaIncoming

The city of Tarragona transport us directly 2000 years ago when it was founded under the name of Tarraco by the Romans and became the capital of what they called Hispania Citerior Tarraconensis.

The excellent state of ruins like the Forum, the Amphitheatre and the Circus, where chariot races were made, gave the status of World Heritage Site by Unesco.

In the old town we find a good offer of gastronomy and entertainment, so it has become one of the most popular areas of the city by both tourists and the inhabitants themselves.

We shouldnīt miss the medieval area dominated by the cathedral that contains romanesque, gothic and neoclassical styles and has a magnificent cloister.

In the Barri del Serrall, old fishing district, you can enjoy the rich and varied seafood cuisine typical of the area and its unique black rice, or other dishes based on tuna, including freshly caught products.

We must emphasize the Balcony of the Mediterranean, spectacular view on the edge of a cliff where we can appreciate magnificent views.
The National Archaeological Museum is the oldest in Catalonia and the Museum of Contemporary Art also worth a visit.

The Cistercian Route

Poblet AbaIncomingClose to Tarragona, towards inland, there are three beautiful monasteries of the Cistercian Order.

It is a trip that transports you to another time, where secrets are housed in its walls and architecture breathe.

Monastery of Poblet is the largest in Europe and has been declared World Heritage Site. Continues inhabited by a community of monks.

Monastery of Santes Creus is one of the oldest and has spectacular stained glass windows, as well as numerous royal tombs.

Finally Monastery of Vallbona de les Monges. The only female monastery of the route, which is still active and its careful Inn.

Port Aventura AbaIncoming
Not far from Tarragona, located in the municipalities of Vila-Seca and Salou is located Port Aventura, a notable leisure and thematic park that combines different areas such as the Mediterranean, China, Far West, Polynesia and Mexico.

If you enjoy your vacations with children, a visit to Port Aventura will provide an unforgettable day full of amusement and emotions.
